Children can learn sex at home, in school or in the street.

Sex education for children, teaching children about sex and sexuality in grade school to high school, sex handouts, getting t o know your sex

The family is watching a movie one cozy night and a seemingly nice guy character, the one your son liked and looked up to, said the words “hand job”. Your son replicated the word ending it with a question mark, how will you respond? What will you say to your younger sister when she asked what “sex” is upon hearing it from you?

We can escape these questions of the young by lying and denying. But at some point, they’ll be old enough to know the terms and they’ll learn more about it somewhere. Will it be at home, school or in the streets?

It is a parent’s fear to expound the idea of sex to their child.  They see them as delicate beings and preaching them sexual profanity is a contamination to their mind. But they have organs that work, drive to copulate and minds to fill.

Talking about sex within the family is uncomfortable for the child and the parent. Certain parents aren’t confident to even say the vulgar words their children are sure to learn somewhere. If they won’t learn it inside the house, an option is to let the educators teach them.

Sex education at school goes beyond the act of reproducing but also covers sensitive issues like sexuality and sexual health. Classes are gender specific to focus on issues pertaining to their gender and to avoid embarrassment against the opposite sex.

Schools may offer two types of sex education classes. The Comprehensive Sexuality Education teaches broad range of issues including body image, masturbation and contraception. The other class, called the Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage Program, will not bear students with pressing information but will assert the abstinence from all sexual behaviors.

The Comprehensive Sexuality Education may be in conflict with family and religious beliefs. Handing them the details may entice them but will emphasize on safe sex. While abstinence is a rigorous battle in today’s society, it is the safest way to avoid problems arising from premarital and unsafe sex.

If there’s no talk at home, and even in school, they’ll eventually get the information outside. It takes bold faith to entrust this lesson to the public.

Wherever you’re coming from, we agree that unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases can potentially ruin a person’s life.

Where do you think should children learn about sex?

Women have different body figures, and varying eras in history dictates which is sexy.

Changing definition of sexy women in history, society labels who is sexy, fat and curvy women are sexy, Hollywood skinny women standards

In today’s societal standards, skinny women classified as sexy. Gyms are rampant, plastic surgeries are in the trend and different kinds of diets are accessible. And when I say diet, it no longer means a mere lessening of food intake but in the fashion of low carbs, bland and slimming teas.

It isn’t natural. Human body requires the normal healthy foods. It could use some fats as well for energy and body temperature maintenance, among others. But the last time people are pleased with plump women was during the renaissance era.

In the 1400s to the 16th century, the attractive women are curvy. To get sexier, they just have to eat more. This translates to the overweight we know of today, but back then they get praises than ignores.

In 1837 to 1901 (Victorian era), sexy perception shifted and women have to sacrifice for it. They compete to get the slimmest waistlines, wearing corsets so tight some breaks their ribs. Sitting is out of choice. There’s an extra burden to merely breath. Just imagine constricting your waistline up to 12 inches!

In the 1920s, there is one question women ask: “do I look boyish yet?” They wore garments to keep their chests flat and mimic the abs of men. They hide their curves and cut their hair short. And men like it that way.

In the 1930s to 1950s, Hollywood started to influence women. Sexy will judge women’s arms and legs apart from face and chest; hence, the lifting of weights. Women desired to show off their feminine sides with their choice of clothes.

In the 1960s, it is claimed that the British teenage Twiggy modeled the skinny body and women followed to be the same. Contrary to the renaissance era, women don’t eat at all to persuade themselves that they’re sexy like Twiggy who weighs just 89 pounds.

From the 1980s, advertisement featuring the “sexy” women boomed. What people see in TV and print portray the perfect body which was tenuous, large breasted and stout hips. Fats are everybody’s enemy and weight loss became a lucrative industry. And until now, the skinny type is the sexy one.

Only 2% of the population will have ideal model body without trying ; while the rest of the women will have to work for the sexy status.

What’s sexy in your standards?

Men are likely to have the uppermost hand than women when holding hands; but who has the dirtier hand?

man and woman holding hands, couple sweet holding hands, man to man holding hands, society, views of hands

Researcher Mark S. Chapell and his pals took the burden to observe 15,008 couples with holding hand activities. It’s true, men has the uppermost hand. And it may be that men initiate the act of touch.

Touch has a power. In the study of Coan, Schaefer and Davidson,  a woman was given mild electric shocks to observe her experience of pain and fear through MRI. At first, pain and fear was prominent. When a laboratory team member held her hand, the pain is still evident but fear diminishes. When the woman’s partner held her hand, the MRI shows that her brain calmed down remarkably.

Holding a woman’s hand is simple, seemingly vain, but it’s an easy way to make her at ease amidst pain and stress. Plus, it’s a romantic gesture too.

A man to man holding hand would raise brows in many societies; but in Afghanistan, it is expected. It shows affection for the men without the sexual association. And in times that you didn’t do that, it shows aversion as if you’re spacing yourself away from the other man.

Holding hands is dirtier than you thought. Tennessee senators passed a new bill claiming that holding hands and kissing are gateways to intercourse. The bill, which blocks sex education, aims to reduce the tipping numbers of the young engaging the activity – 27% of middle school students in Memphis City have had sex.

People from University of Colorado studied hands of men and women, and women’s hands are dirtier! Women “have a much ‘greater diversity’ of bacteria on their hands than men, and a higher number of innate bacteria living under the skin that can’t be washed away” (Noble, 2008). Interesting.. How did that happen?

It’s common knowledge that women go to restroom in packs, but men do it too.

Man and Woman Peeing, men and women peeing restroom dissimilarity, what women men does inside the restroom

Man and Woman Peeing. Photo from thoughts.com

It’s a puzzle why women go to washroom all together, and why does it take them a freakin’ bluemoon in doing it. I mean, I can finish all Stephen King’s books before the girls reappear themselves from peeing.

I know it’s longer for a woman to leak; and there’s more hassle. But come on, I think you use that place to giggle and gossip. That’s about it, right?

Men do it too, but we just won’t say it out loud, like “Hey bros, let’s go to washroom together”, for the obvious reason of it sounding too gay. But it goes like this: one guy would want to pee, and now that he says it, the other men would now feel they needed to pee; so in turn, everybody’s peeing!

I’ll tell you what’s happening inside our “man room”. First, guys don’t pee next to each other in urinals. Usually, there are about four to eight urinals, so a man is free to choose which wall he’ll face. But it’s awkward to pee next to each other, it’s erratic and uncomfortable. There’s a study that implanted a camera in urinals, and it took longer for men to start leaking when next to some other dude.

It’s not a networking event, so men shouldn’t talk so much there. Public restroom is disgusting, and I always wanted to get straight to business and get out of it at the soonest possible time. But see, there are men who prate while peeing. They are the ones who talk about his singleness or his bowel issues. They should be hanged, and then stabbed to be sure.

Shopping is recreation for women but chore for men.

Women Loves Anything on Sale, women shopping, men's torture is shopping, hot sale, sale items in shopping malls, hot couple shopping, huge sale sign

That big S-A-L-E sign is the source of men’s torture when shopping with a girl. They wouldn’t miss any store with that sign. It’s like a red hot invitation for them to come in and look for products they don’t initially plan to buy.

A girl who shops for a perfume takes about 15 minutes to sample the different variety of perfumes before deciding on one. That’s only half the battle. The way to the mall’s exit is also another abiding allure to numerous detours and side-seeings for her. While for men, it’ll probably take 6 minutes.

Men and women are really from different planets. And shopping is one activity they do differently. I couldn’t agree more in this statement of Wharton’s:

Women are happy to meander through sprawling clothing and accessory collections or detour through the shoe department. They like to glide up glass escalators past a grand piano, or spray a perfume sample on themselves on their way to, maybe, making a purchase. For men, shopping is a mission. They are out to buy a targeted item and flee the store as quickly as possible.

Their study also reveals that women’s main problem in shopping was “lack of help when needed”, while men’s topmost problem was “difficulty in finding parking close to the store’s entrance”. All men cared about is getting the shopping done as soon as possible to have more time for other activities, and apparently parking space. So internet shopping is a gift for us.

What is it about shopping that excites women? I guess I wouldn’t understand it because I’m a guy. It’s the same thing as any girl wouldn’t understand the long hours of men playing Skyrim in PS3 or Xbox 360.

How long do you shop?
