Here’s something that almost made me cry – toys on the verge of destruction.

Big Boys Cry, cool men cry, man cry, crying boy, crying men

Yeah, that scene from Toy Story 3 when Woody and his pals already accepted their demise. And then once more was when Andy played with his toys for the last time and gave them away. I mean, all men can relate to that. It’s just so hard to let go of your, um, action figures.

Remember the moment when you received a test sheet, scanned the rest of it and found it to be too long. After you’re done with it, you can already publish it as a book. Just looking ahead of that very long boring test, your eyes could water on its own because like it or not, you have to go through with it.

A guy in the name of Rob Dyrdek spent $700 Million on lottery tickets (paid in cash), on which the jackpot prize was $356 Million. The draw came, numbers arise, and surprise him. He lost. Nobody won on that draw. Talk about slap on the face, that’s worth crying to.

Men are taught to not show their weak emotions. Part of masculinity is to hold back tears, an attribute women typically exhibit. So to be a man is to be not a woman. Though, it doesn’t mean that men, over the years, have lost emotions. Men have estrogen as well. It’s undeniable; but denying it is expected of men.

Big boys cry, perhaps not in public but there are instances that can make them cry. Loosing a game of their favorite sports team could do the trick, but also try taking something they treasure so much, be it family, friends, or lunch. Ideally, breaking up with a girl too.

We all have our own story, isn’t it? Actually, there is one thing that can burst me every time. It’s a very horrible experience; I’d want to forget about it; I’d want to get over it; I’d want it to mean nothing. But it just always make me cry – peeling onions.

Remember this episode in friends, where Monica tried to tear up her beau Chandler?

When was the last time you cried or made your man cry?

Shopping is recreation for women but chore for men.

Women Loves Anything on Sale, women shopping, men's torture is shopping, hot sale, sale items in shopping malls, hot couple shopping, huge sale sign

Photo from photoXpress

That big S-A-L-E sign is the source of men’s torture when shopping with a girl. They wouldn’t miss any store with that sign. It’s like a red hot invitation for them to come in and look for products they don’t initially plan to buy.

A girl who shops for a perfume takes about 15 minutes to sample the different variety of perfumes before deciding on one. That’s only half the battle. The way to the mall’s exit is also another abiding allure to numerous detours and side-seeings for her. While for men, it’ll probably take 6 minutes.

Men and women are really from different planets. And shopping is one activity they do differently. I couldn’t agree more in this statement of Wharton’s:

Women are happy to meander through sprawling clothing and accessory collections or detour through the shoe department. They like to glide up glass escalators past a grand piano, or spray a perfume sample on themselves on their way to, maybe, making a purchase. For men, shopping is a mission. They are out to buy a targeted item and flee the store as quickly as possible.

Their study also reveals that women’s main problem in shopping was “lack of help when needed”, while men’s topmost problem was “difficulty in finding parking close to the store’s entrance”. All men cared about is getting the shopping done as soon as possible to have more time for other activities, and apparently parking space. So internet shopping is a gift for us.

What is it about shopping that excites women? I guess I wouldn’t understand it because I’m a guy. It’s the same thing as any girl wouldn’t understand the long hours of men playing Skyrim in PS3 or Xbox 360.

How long do you shop?

Men Buy, Women Shop’: The Sexes Have Different Priorities When Walking Down the Aisles; Wharton

You would think the night prior to a wedding day is exclusively nerve-wrecking for women; but that was wrong thinking.

Men are also susceptible to the feeling of wedding day anxiousness in unabridged immense kind. It can be a life-altering day, where change is even more keen for men given these three facets:

Physically

A man becomes a groom. He actually dressed up himself to look presentable. With the exception to the conceited ones, men rarely gives a damn to what he wears, more so to plan it. It is said that there are only two situations in which men dresses up – in funeral and in his wedding. So this is one of the two.

Mentally

A bachelor thinking is selfish thinking. He takes an activity with monetary gain and he only does whatever he wants in his free time, as the moment goes by. Sports, video games, and list of hot women are things you would see should you have a chance to know what is inside a man’s mind. But on his wedding day, he thought of a life decision. It is this day that he would swear in front of a minister to live with one woman, forever. Well, these thoughts visit a man’s mind only once in a while. And from that day on, his selfish thinking was bashed and changed into mutual thinking – he now thinks of the girl he marries and their future together.

Emotionally.

On wedding days, men admit having feelings – love. They profess to have loved a woman, some even cry on wedding days. On every normal day, men pretend to have their feelings nonexistent. It shows robust masculinity to be unperturbed by emotions.

Unspoken but true, a wedding day is a noble and novel experience for men. Grooms, do you agree?

And same-sex schools are bad for boys.

Parents decide on which type of classroom their child will study. It could be exclusive for the child’s gender or co-ed. People will have their own sentiment regarding the benefits of one over the other, but we don’t really until a new study came along to testify.

A study shows that single-sex schools are, apparently, detrimental to the academic performance and social health of boys but not for girls. In fact, it is good for girls.

Boys find girls puzzling, which they really are. But Dr Mary Bousted, general secretary of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, claimed that boys learn better around girls. The classroom setting seems to need the presence of girls. A co-ed classroom with more girls than boys benefit all students, says Prof. Analia Schlosser of Tel Aviv University.

Schools are supposed to prepare students for the real world upon reaching the age of independence. Same-sex schools do not resemble nor emulate a real-life setting. Reality is that there are two sexes, male and female. You cannot condition students that the other sex is nonexistent. You cannot also teach students valuable interaction skills by secluding them.

It is rather disturbing that the study’s findings indicate that boys from single-sex schools are more likely end up divorced or separated by their early 40s. The research argues, at best, that these boys find it difficult to handle girls.

Do you agree that boys need girls in classroom?
