Children can learn sex at home, in school or in the street.

Sex education for children, teaching children about sex and sexuality in grade school to high school, sex handouts, getting t o know your sex

The family is watching a movie one cozy night and a seemingly nice guy character, the one your son liked and looked up to, said the words “hand job”. Your son replicated the word ending it with a question mark, how will you respond? What will you say to your younger sister when she asked what “sex” is upon hearing it from you?

We can escape these questions of the young by lying and denying. But at some point, they’ll be old enough to know the terms and they’ll learn more about it somewhere. Will it be at home, school or in the streets?

It is a parent’s fear to expound the idea of sex to their child.  They see them as delicate beings and preaching them sexual profanity is a contamination to their mind. But they have organs that work, drive to copulate and minds to fill.

Talking about sex within the family is uncomfortable for the child and the parent. Certain parents aren’t confident to even say the vulgar words their children are sure to learn somewhere. If they won’t learn it inside the house, an option is to let the educators teach them.

Sex education at school goes beyond the act of reproducing but also covers sensitive issues like sexuality and sexual health. Classes are gender specific to focus on issues pertaining to their gender and to avoid embarrassment against the opposite sex.

Schools may offer two types of sex education classes. The Comprehensive Sexuality Education teaches broad range of issues including body image, masturbation and contraception. The other class, called the Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage Program, will not bear students with pressing information but will assert the abstinence from all sexual behaviors.

The Comprehensive Sexuality Education may be in conflict with family and religious beliefs. Handing them the details may entice them but will emphasize on safe sex. While abstinence is a rigorous battle in today’s society, it is the safest way to avoid problems arising from premarital and unsafe sex.

If there’s no talk at home, and even in school, they’ll eventually get the information outside. It takes bold faith to entrust this lesson to the public.

Wherever you’re coming from, we agree that unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases can potentially ruin a person’s life.

Where do you think should children learn about sex?

More and more people around the world are allowing the forever-developing World Wide Web to make their lives that little bit easier.

launch of internet, world wide web, man behind the internet, invention of the century, valuable invention, Sir Tim Berners-Lee unveiled the internet on Christmas Day, 1990

Business, social networking and communication are being advanced in what can only be described as the technological age that we are currently living in.

What would you do, however, if the internet as we know it was completely switched off via a single switch without any warning?

Fortunately, Sir Tim Berners-Lee has stated that there is no such thing as a single “Off” Switch because the world is decentralised and split up into hundreds of countries, there is no central “Off Switch”.

The only way it could be switched off is if the governments of the world come together and agree to change it from a decentralised system to a centralised one.

But what if everything were to revert to the way it was prior to 1990?

ebay, online businesses that prosper and flourish, amazon, online selling and buying

A number of businesses relying entirely or partially on the internet would be severely damaged.

Also all people who make a living through pod-casting, hyperlocal news and those selling products on the internet would all consequently lose their jobs.

You would lose all your friends, graveyard due to facebook, online friendships, dead like, like button fb

Photo from turbo.fortytwotimes.com

With nearly one billion users connecting with friends and family nearby or abroad, the death of Facebook would probably result in the majority of people just not trying to stay in touch any more.

If the internet has made people lazy enough to stay at home to communicate with friends rather than meet in person; will people really put in the extra effort?

thinking returns, brain used again, easy way technology, cognition

Yep, you would probably regain a large portion of your brain capacity to resolve difficult problems; which would previously have been looked up on the internet.

People would have to rely on books again and reading more has frequently been linked with increased intelligence.

People would buy more newspapers, reading newspapers on actual papers, new trend, going back to way of things

The newspaper industry has been taking a nosedive in sales ever since the introduction of the internet. With no more “instant” news through websites and social media such as Twitter; the flow of information will travel much slower.

Does this mean more people would revert to reading newspapers for information? As well as more traditional methods of news gathering? More than likely.

Less transparency more corruption, government, private authorities, corruption, hugging and loving laptop, protecting computer

Without the internet, corporations and government will find it much more difficult to publish information to the public – therefore encouraging the emergence of more Quangos.

Quangos are not affiliated to the government, yet rely on government funding and have been heavily criticised for a true lack or transparency.

You would have to go to work, going back to work after a break and hiatus, driving to work again, getting up early

As opposed to working from home or teleworking. More and more companies have turned to outsourcing, resulting in a lot of money being saved – but without the internet this could prove difficult.

This will result in many people hopping into their cars and driving to work before…

getting lost without GPS and help of technology, uses of technology, getting around, traveling with smart phones

Although GPS systems would still operate, but this would prove difficult without a constant flow of internet-based updates.

The loss of Google Maps and other map based technology on the internet would result in people being unable to print off a direct list of instructions and ultimately getting lost. And finally…

blogosphere, blogging, moment matters, blog world

And you wouldn’t be reading this post. Nor would you be reading any of my other posts or the posts of thousands of other bloggers across the globe.

Just a concept I know, our lives in many respects would probably benefit socially and personally but at the same time be ridden with economic decline in a world without internet.

Would the world be better without internet?

I love the natural vigor of sunlight roaming around my pad; my modern house should be full of glass.

A wall in 3D Painting. I want one for my house, but paint a Hogwarts Castle wall for me! 3D street and house wall painting

You know the 3D paintings in the streets? It tricks you to see something that looks like real but are just 3D paintings. It amazed me, and I will drag it to my room. I’ll hire a professional painter to do a 3D art on one of my walls, just like the photo above but as a Harry Potter fan that I am, I’ll direct 3D Hogwarts castle on my wall (maybe a Gryffindor common room).

As usual, I love to confuse my guests so I’ll make a labyrinth in my crib. I don’t know how that’s going to happen but that’s why architects exist – they actualize our dream house. Around, there’s multi-purpose home theater room, arcade room, bar lounge, home gym and spectral tree house.

Backyard Tree, house garden tree climbing, man climbing a tree

I’ll import another tree just for the fun of climbing it and looking rugged and daredevil. Thanks to the shade of my tree, there’s a spot for a perfect relaxing hammock life. I’ll also have an orange tree in my garden. And then I’ll arrange an outdoor firepit because in a bonfire is always a golden time to talk and share stories (and I have a hoard of horror stories).

I want Mozilla Firefox to be a pet in my house! Fox Pet

I would have a pet fox watching my every movement, perhaps waiting for the moment of hunting me but his mixed annealing and adorable looks is my kind of company. You may have known in my post Your Pet Story Here that all of my pets in the past either died or escaped in days so I hope Mozilla is the one to stay for long.

Climbing Wall for Swimming Pool, pool party fun, adventure in swimming pool, swimming pool jump, cool

I found this wicked climbing wall for swimming pool, the best accessory I could have for my pool that would attract plenty pool parties and good times. And at night, I’ll have dancing lights like an underwater aurora.

What features are in your dream house?

One Man Island, private island

One Man Island. Photo from iliketowastemytime.com

Wealth and riches are blissful to attract. I like having them, and I love spending them. It brings forth freedom – to do just whatever you want, to have whatever you want whenever you want. But I consider it as a privilege. Having it means having more to share.

And I believe that buying a one man island, or as they call it ‘private island’, is defeating the purpose of sharing; if anything, it’s selfish. These private island owners exclude themselves from the rest of the world, like all they needed is themselves and their riches. That is erroneous thinking. As social beings, we have the purpose to fulfill – interaction, not isolation.

Lets say, you buy islands because you can; and you don’t intend to actually live in it. It was meant for vacation, a resting pad. That means you get to use the island, for what, one or two times a year? And then the rest of it is just lone.

Many are people without shelter, or stable shelter, or enough shelter to fit a family. And to have an island for one man or for seldom vacation is ludicrous. I can’t live owning an island and knowing the reality beyond.

What I don’t even tolertate is why people buy islands when they don’t have enough bills. Case in point, Nicolas Cage. His financial trouble stretches, but that’s because he spent much on overly needless possessions – 22 cars, 12 expensive jewelries, 47 pieces of art and 3 homes, including  a private island. And that was in 2007 alone.

Should people have the right to buy islands?
