Scars, moles, and extra nipples are all subject to cosmetic correction unless the owner regard them as beauty marks.
The popular notion of beauty is perfect all throughout, hair to heels. Makeup and cosmetics are invented for human’s need to conceal the perceived mess in their body, that is, the ‘imperfections’. But really, who defines a part of you as imperfect? These people are focused on camera but they won’t care:
Madonna’s teeth gap
Kiefer Sutherland’s & Mila Kunis’s heterochromia (different eye colors)
Joaquin Phoenix’s lip scar
Mariah Carey’s facial mole
Mark Wahlberg’s third nipple
Mila Kunis could just wear matching contact lenses, or Mark Wahlberg could pay a doctor to scrape off his extra nipple. But they haven’t, and it shows that they are not ashamed to carry the ‘imperfections’ themselves. The tricky truth is, a perfect human has imperfections.
I love that these people didn’t succumbed to the demands of hypocritical beauty. I have a scar on my cheek. What imperfection in your body are you proud of?

I love this!! my imperfection? I’m slightly over weight, some may call me fat… but I’m so incredibly proud of my curves!!!! x
Great post … but still those imperfections are very minor – there is fire man in Gothenburg that more or less lost his face in an explosion … and now working with burn and fire victims. His face has no structure what so ever and he met his wife after the accident – wonderful couple. I have a teeth gap.
I have scars from falls, burns and surgery. I even have a dimple that was caused after I was hit in the face with a propane tank. My hands are strong and veined from working. My imperfections were caused by living, something I am proud of.
Well, I have a big forehead.. humm, a huge scar on my right hand from the hot coffee what spilled on it on my childhood and my legs smallest finger is kinda grown wrong, well its not straight but i guess those imperfections make us all special in a way 🙂
Yes, I think it’s people’s imperfections that make them perfect! Nice post!
my imperfections are lot but the 1 i am really really proud of is a scar that separates the top of my right eyebrow from the bottom i just love it!
I was recently thinking about this phrase. In our 3D world, we see imperfections, but on the Other Side, we see this as a perfect plan. Not many people remember this though..ha..ha.

cool blog, also food for thought, I agree these are minor imperfections but for those in the limelight, they are amplified hundred times! I had half a big toe amputated in a childhood accident but I try to make it work. I dont want to shock people by exposing it but sometimes its unavoidable. Even more so, when I visit someone’s house and have to take off my shoes. On the brighter side, it is not a handicap, it just might look aesthetically unpleasing. By the way, thanks for visiting and liking my blog.
it took a while to get used to the scar from cancer surgery. Other scars on a guy reflect boldness, this reflected weakness, quite a change of pace.
interesting blog, thanks for the visit and like
