These five celebrities have great tattoo ideas.
People endure striking pain to earn themselves a tattoo. Planting a permanent ink on the skin renders the owner a uniquely indicative individual, marking a brand different from the majority.
Some call their tattoos art, even when one’s tattoo is just a cross. But most people get tattoos because they usually have meanings in their life that he or she wants to be constantly reminded of. With just a glance, that person wants people to know his identity. Aside from that, certain tattoos look cool just like these celebrity tattoos:

I think tatoos on other people are really cool.
As for me, I still have to get a sucker from the doctor each time I get a shot!!!
Thanks for sharing.
Certain tattoos are cool indeed. Hey, thanks for stopping by again!
I don’t really want a tattoo but some of them do look cool. It takes a certain personality to carry a tattoo though and I dont have it. I also think we are unique enough without having to put any additional marks on our bodies.
We really are unique enough, and tattoos for certain people are extensions of their uniqueness. And yeah, tattoos aren’t for everybody.
Personal, tattoo isn’t anything for me – and I don’t really like it on others neither. Even if I think Beckman is very beautiful man – his tattoo’s spoils it. Everybody do as they place – it’s their bodies. Something like Zac’s is okay. Maybe I’m too old. *smile
I agree that some tattoo design may appear messy, but it’s the person’s decision. If I were to get one, I prefer simple and meaningful tattoo much like Zac’s.
This is such an interesting topic – I like the take on this, and it has actually got me thinking again about another tattoo. I’m not your typical tattoo wearer, I have one on the arch of my foot that is easily hidden and it does represent my life’s goal. It’s very personal to me, and I think that’s probably all that is important – before you get inked, make sure it means something to you because you’ll be wearing it a long time.
True, tattoos ought to be personal. You don’t do it to appeal to people; although in effect it could, but it shouldn’t be the primary reason for getting one.
I don’t think I will ever go down that road, but if I did it would be…….FTLOGDEGAT or
“For the love of God, don’t ever get another tattoo!”
HAHA, people would say, “FTLOGDEGAT huh, that should mean something”. Yeah, it’s a tattoo to remind myself not to get a tattoo.
Well, Tattoos are for certain personalities.
I have a male angel that takes up the lower third of my back. First and only one I have. I got it done as a reminder that I always have a guardian angel looking out for me. I actually had the tattoo artist create the design with only a few requirements. Loved it as soon as he showed me the final sketch. Eventually I’d like to add 3 more things to it, but we’ll see. They can get expensive and I have other priorities to take care of first. lol.
Yeah, if you are to get a tattoo, you might as well get it from a qualified tattoo artist. It stays with you permanently so you don’t want the settle for mediocre work. Nice meaningful tattoo
Exactly. I was actually lucky enough to have the owner of the shop do it all for me. Only went there because my brother got the first of his work there and trusted them enough to recommend it to me. He even sat there while they completed it.
Triquetra on my spine just above shoulder blades (the point between the upper chakras and lower chakras. I usually keep it covered as it has spiritual significance
Wow, you’re very interesting. I was also told to cover tattoos whenever in a professional encounter because it you know, it conveys certain personality. So you don’t want to risk your career.
That happens a lot here in the South West, we have a double culture, hippies and free spirits on the weekends, over the top professional in the office during the week,

Am I forgiven now? 🙂 How do you do that? I mean you replied to your every single comment on your posts. You’re an excellent blogger.
Absodanglutely! Thanks! I am just gifted like that…Hahaha!
On my blog, I only comment on a few comments, as a kind of self-denying ordinance – after all, I get to publish the posts, and after that, free for all! (all who avoid grossly abusive input!)
Very cool, original piece!
Hey thanks! You have a creative site, you know that.
Very timely for me. I have a milestone birthday later this year and after years of admiring tattoos as art as opposed to a drunken knee jerk reaction, I think I am ready to go for it. The constant dillema is “what do you choose”. I want something meaningful as you have outlined for these celebrities. I like the idea of growing older and tattooing something organic. I like the idea of watching a tattoo grow instead of watching the withering process. What to choose? It is a quest.
Hey, goodluck on your quest! I’m in the same situation. I want a tattoo but still don’t know what exactly I wanted to be inked on me. Just like these celebrities, we want it cool and sentimental right? =)
Absolutely right.
Let me know what you decide. Perhaps it will inspire my quest. Love love your blog. I even posted it on my facebook page for others to find you. Cheers.
Blue rose in my left leg, a sexy cat on my back and next up…hopefully a wolf. Tats are addicting & I love them.
Are they really addicting? I thought I wanted to have more than one though. A wolf is so cool!
I like Zak’s tat! Wish I had thought of that. Great read.
That’s what I though also after seeing Zac’s. Deep meaning and appealingly cool. Thanks for reading!
I wanted a tattoo for a very long time but never could decide what to get. I wanted something that really meant something to me. Not just get one for the sake of getting one. After I had my kids I decided I wanted something to do with them. I didn’t want flowers or birds or whatever else you could think of. I wanted something different not so common. I got a bracelet on my upper right shoulder with each of my kids names coming off of it and their favorite thing they had had since they were babies and still carry around. I thought I was done having kids but now have another I would like to get his name added and once he has a favorite thing.
I am not a big jewelry wearer so i would also like to get something on my ankle to support autism or maybe something to support spacial needs kids in general. Since that is something that touches so close to home.
It is exciting to see your youngest find his favorite thing, isn’t it? That’s nice of you to support these children with spacial needs. You’re incredible.
I have a huge birthmark on my back. When I was 18 I went to a reputable tattooist and got a small butterfly over the darkest part of the mark. I picked a butterfly as I liked the symbolism of transforming it into something beautiful. The butterfly draws your attention away from the different colours on the skin, so the whole mark is much less noticeable now.
I’ve never regretted it (my mother was horrified).
I would love a tribal tattoo. Maybe one day!!
Hey that was awesome! Used your mark as part of your tattoo art. Did you surprise your mom? HAHA
I got my first tattoo when I was 20. I got it right after I moved out of my parents house. They were totally against them. It’s just a small rose on my hip, low enough it can be covered up under a bathing suit. I still cared about what everyone thought so it was more for me. I want another now that I have my kids. It’s already drawn out. It’s my children’s birth flowers with itty bitty flower pods that are mine and my husbands birth stone colors. It’s pretty sweet, and I want to get done going down the side of my back. That would probably be my last.
What’s bad about tattoo, right? I guess parents just wanted their child to be perfect based on their standards. Have fun having your tattoo =)
I have a Sheldon J. Plankton on the side of my left hand. He makes me laugh, and I have never seen another like him on anyone. I know that ink is not for everyone, but he was right for me. 🙂
Yeah I think no one has Plankton inked on them, cool =)) If I were to put that which made me laugh, I’ll have Neil Patrick Harris. Great comedian, but not a good picture – a man’s face inked on a man’s body HAHA
I love Keith Urban’s tattoo. Pretty awesome 😉
Yeah when I was in Boracay island, I had a Henna tattoo and kind of adopted his phoenix tattoo. I just asked the artist to include more details. Awesome! Are you planning to get one?
It’s strange how tattoos have become popular again over the last 20 years?
I always remember the older guys coming back after their time in the Services with tardy grey/green tatts they had gotten one drunken night in a foreign land and always trying to hide them.
Also, Tattoos appear to be addictive. My middle son who is a working DJ and Music Producer in London, had his first when he was about 20 and now at 30 he has about 4 or 5 and is planning more. Whatever turns you on I guess, but not for me.
Love the blog BTW
I almost had one, the artist said it is the pain that people seek for. So perhaps the pain is addicting? Like spicy foods give pain to your tongue but people love it.
Hey, thanks Mark for visiting and loving this blog, it meant so much
My pleasure, look forward to sharing more posts with you.
Cheers.
I have always wanted to get, “Once upon a time…Happily Ever after.” I have one now, but haven’t saved up enough for anymore. My husband has quite a few and I love the look of them. Great post!
The couple who are into tattoos, awesome! I hope my future wife will also be okay with me having tattoos. It would be great to share the same interest, isn’t it?
Yes, we are partners in crime, so this is just the frosting on the cake! We both love music , books and movies. So it is great. Ok done bragging. Again great post!
Great!
Triquetra on bicep, just high enough to be covered by a golf shirt ~ “Jesus fish” on left arm…both have obvious significance. Not to judge, but my only beef with tattoos is the cookie-cutter “look at me” designs ~ the barbed wire around the arm is going to haunt a lot of old men one day.
I have two now, but have a third in mind. I can’t draw at all so will have to go to someone who designs tats. The last few years were not good to me and I went from having to lose 25 lbs to needing to lose 100 lbs. If I can finally succeed, I want to have a pile of 8 pumpkins, one jack’o’lantern, and one skull designed to represent each 10 lbs (pumpkins), getting healthy again (skull), and my personality (halloween girl).
I’m just a guy with a limerick reply…
A tattoo could be a mistake,
If you’re drunk or you’re just half awake;
You could get the name wrong,
Is it Wright or is it Wong?
You don’t want to look like a flake.
Compliments of Humorous Interludes
I would love the tree of life to cover my back…
I delievered 3 baby boys mid-term three years into a row. One of the dates I lost one of the babies on was my sister-in-law’s birthday. I decided that I just couldn’t carry those dates around with me for the rest of my life. I got a Tattoo of three butterflies frolicking in some flowers on my upper thigh. I was in my late thirties at the time. It is my only tattoo. Since then I have had one live child. Her name is Poppy. I want to get a tattoo for her too. I love my tattoo. it was not someone drunken impulsive thing. I choose to get it to remember my beautiful babies who did not get a chance to fly.
Very good post,it provide necessary information,it worth bookmaking.
Nice post especially since I’m all for meaningful tattoos! My own two have meaning only for me, observers only see whats right in front of them. And though I’m creeped out by needles, getting the tatts wasn’t scary at all!
My third and last one is awaiting inspiration from my life. When it comes, I’ll go get an intricate one.
I have a number of tattoos and they all mean something. I have a poppy flower on my ankle for my grandfather who I called Poppy. I have a sugar skull on my foot that has a number of intricate designs including a cancer sign–my late grandmother was a cancer. I have a fish, my kids astrological signs and a moon a stars on my other foot which are all tributes to my Dad, my kids, my friend Diana (who was the Moon Godess). And finally I have my husbands initials and a shell on my inner left wrist. I have more planned… Love tattoos.
I always wonder what tattoos mean to people….interesting!
I have a couple of tattoos, in spots that generally don’t see the light of day very often 🙂 the one on my left top butt cheek is of a butterfly and a rose, with my husband’s name etched on the scroll for all time. Just as well he’s still around after all this time 🙂
Thanks for liking my first post from Watercolors to the Arctic! I’m not a big tatoo fan but I will say that someone approached me about using one of my paintings for their tatoo. It came out amazing and I was incredibly honored that someone liked my work enough to wear it for the rest of their life!
I don’t think there is any design I would like enough to want to put it on my skin for the rest of my life and not get tired of or somehow regret. I’m all about growing and changing and I also accept that a lot of unexpected things happen in life. No permanent tattoo will encompass that for me and there is nothing in my heritage which calls for it either. My husband draws designs on my skin now and then with mediums that will wash off and I’m quite happy with displaying temporary art rather than branding myself for life. Having said that, if I was to get a tattoo, I’d get one that my husband designed because then the tattoo itself still might not mean much to me, but the manner of obtaining it definitely would.
I don’t think I need to ‘brand’ myself to bea distinctive individual. 😉
People have preferences 😀
I just finished a novel for kids (about a carousel frog) in which an older boy has a tattoo. I might just get a frog tattoo (a small one) if the book makes it. Fun to think about, esp. at my age!
I hope you make it!! I’m excited for you, how long did you make it?
100 pages. A few editors are reading it now. Set on a New Jersey boardwalk. Tattoo City!
Great! Tss, you should now be browsing through frog arts for your tattoo 🙂
I will do the frog from the carousel–the one my kid character is trying to save. They arcade owner is selling it to a rock and roll museum and Rocky is fighting to keep it.
Doubt if I’d actually be brave enough, but it’s a fun thought!!
I’d like to get a tattoo but I’m not too sure it’s good for employment in the future.
It’s awesome Sabella 🙂 Just don’t put it in areas where it is easily visible, like in hands or neck.
Awesome post!
Intersting perspective for me about tatoos. Not my generation things but I do understand why you would want a tat.
I’m just glad I’m poor or else I would be covered in them by now!
Me and my son got our first tatoos at the same time, a Celtic cross in honor of his late grandmother, who was a Christian that loved Celtic history. My second will be a cross of nails on the other side. Then, I may finish with the Phoenix, having just been inspired by Keith Urban. It’s also appropriate for my life. Thanks for writing.
From Japan. Thank you for visiting my blog. The tattoo was the Asia maritime people’s tradition. However, it has been a problem in Osaka now. It is assumed that it debases the morals.I was able to feel a little of your world.
